Best. Neighbor. Ever.
My neighbor just brought me a squirrel & moose cookie. That's right. Rocky & Bullwinkle.

And they were delicious.

Downtown view
Walking around downtown this evening & snapped a photo. This is the Methodist church (I think?) at sunset. Love downtown - such a cute area.

Also, better picture from Halloween - yay!

A different perspective
Went walking around campus today & discovered a new coffee shop & a great view. This campus is gorgeous, and the weather today is nearly perfect (the high is 60!), so I can't complain. I was disappointed that we didn't get snow like the news had predicted, but holy crap it got cold the other day!!! It was, I think, 40 & pouring. Sooooo awful. But today makes up for Wednesday!

Staring at another weekend of intense productivity and little rest. Counting down to Thanksgiving! 19 days 'til I hop a plane back home!

Temperature dropping, a bit disconcerting.
So today's forecast: high of 48, possible snow & rain. Whaaaat?!!?!

I'll post pictures if it happens. For now, enjoy the overcast view from my balcony.

Also, I'll make another real post soon. Just had to update.

Too much going on...
I'm seriously the busiest I've ever been this semester, and these next 3 weeks are going to be unbelievably insane.

I'm setting a goal for myself, though, on top of everything else. One blog post per day. Just one, at least, to keep myself writing. I'm teaching Comp I, and our main goal, as it is a writing course, is to keep our students writing. It's time for me to hold myself to that same standard - one post a day for 30 days. This, I can do.

Discovered some hilarity - bad lip reading. Youtube it. Youtube "Russian Unicorn." Die laughing. Repeat.

Halloween was relatively uneventful. Had an English Dept (we call ourselves SAGE) Halloween party on Friday, and it was fun, but that's about all I did. Mostly, I had a weekend of heavy reading, which isn't quite finished still. 70ish pages of articles to read tonight - I'll never learn. Time management is my biggest weakness.

People don't tell you about this aspect of grad school. I mean, of course I knew it would be difficult, but it's almost to the point of insanity. SO MUCH READING. The pressure is mounting.

BUT, 20 days 'til Belton!!!

So I've included a couple photos from Halloween. I went as Abby from NCIS again this year. The other photo is of my office mate, Mackenzie, holding Commodore the cat. Kenz was Minnie Mouse. Also, do enjoy the photo of my office. We've made it pretty awesome.
